Founded in 1990 by Lee and Leila Bates, Bates Collision Centers have held steadfast to it's mission to be the collision repair center of "choice" in the Bay Area of Texas.

Their approach has been multi-faceted by maintaining a rigorous training program for all staff, as well as utilizing state-of-the-art equipment. The Bates staff undergoes specialized ongoing training provided by many of the top names in the collision repair industry, including: I-CAR®, ASE®, Akzo Nobel®, and Sikkens®.

Bates Collision Centers is also a direct repair center for a large number of insurance companies. This means customers can benefit from expedited claims due to electronic billing and digital imaging capabilities, which ultimately transitions into seamless communications between our repair-center staff and the insurance agents. Inevitably, this leads to shorter turnaround times on repairs, as well as extremely satisfied customers. Bates Collision Centers customers enjoy two conveniently located state-of-the-art repair centers, friendly and professional staff, as well as an outstanding repair quality.

Bates Responsible Parenting Award & Benevolence Car

Bates Collision Centers is proud to continue our annual tradition that began in 1998 of presenting “new” used vehicles to deserving families through volunteer staff hours and donations each holiday season. The Bates staff have refurbished and presented more than 30 vehicles since 1998; they've been a real helping hand up for these families. Our employees volunteer their time to refurbish a vehicle from each of our centers and fill it with gifts such as toys, gas cards, car seats, and food for the family. The vehicles are presented during a special Awards Presentation and Holiday Reception held in their honor to recognize and reward parents for "Responsible Parenting". This unique program focuses on the parent's tireless efforts to parent "Responsibly" while coping with the daily challenge and hardship of running their household without reliable transportation. We have seen a real impact in the lives of these families through our gifts of transportation.

At Bates, we engage an independent third-party research company to contact our customers post-repair to rate how satisfied they are with the quality of the repair. CSi Complete® ranks our customer satisfaction performance on a monthly basis. We are proud to share our CSi Complete® report on our customer satisfaction rating.   • Paint mixing occurs in an explosion proof mix room with fume extraction
  • Spraying occurs in a downdraft spray booth
  • Sophisticated HVLP (high volume, low pressure) spray equipment is used to reduce overspray emissions into the air
  • Painter wears a paint mask and a full body paint suit to avoid inhalation and skin absorption of toxins
  • S/P2 Safety & Pollution Prevention Training is utilized
  • Paint gun washers utilized reducing the amount of solvent used in clean paint guns by 80%
  • Computerized paint mixing system designed to color match and mix the proper quantity of paint for the repair, limiting product waste

  • Radiant heat to heat only the objects
  • Industrial set-back thermostats to reduce energy use in off hours
  • Spray booth has commercially insulated walls to keep heat in, and has an afterburner to quickly ramp up the heat and has a programmed timer to shut off automatically
  • We use fast-dry paint products to reduce the duration of the spray booths bake cycles
